I recently spent a few days at Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge, where I watched these female snapping turtles laying their eggs in holes that they dig in sandy spots away from the water. I lied on my stomach to get an eye-to-eye perspective.
A few years ago I spent a few days at Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge. I first spotted this bear as it made its way across one of the refuge’s streams and climbed onto the bank on the opposite side. I got this shot when it moved to the adjacent field.
