I remember telling a co-worker who wasn’t particularly excited about the outdoors that I was going to the Grand Canyon. He replied, “Why? It’s just a big hole in the ground!” Well, it’s one pretty incredible hole. His loss. The multi-colored patterns in the sandstone alone are a good reason to stay a while.
Oh Give Me a Home…
…Where the bison roam, not the buffalo. Check out the difference between them. These bison — a mom and her calf — were in the Kaibab National Forest. We stopped when we saw a whole herd on our way back from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.
